Reinstall disc problems

Hi

I want to downgrade from mavericks (due to the constant slowness and suckiness of it, so i used the OS X(Snow Leopard) reinstall disc. But after erasing and pressing the "reinstall OS X" button, it only reinstalls mavericks all over again.

What can i do?

Depends how you want it. If you want all your data (or most of it anyway) and programs intact, restore from backup might be a better option (assuming you did a time machine backup before the upgrade). You can manually backup any new data first so you will not lose anything.

Alternatively you could use disk utility whilst booted up from the snow leopard dvd or usb to format the drive first and then do a clean install of snow leopard.
