Reinstall from Recovery Partition

If I use Lion's Recovery HD to reinstall Mac OS X on my main partition (wiping it clean first), will it then make yet ANOTHER recovery partition? I don't need two.

I'm sure the installer checks to see if a restore partition already exists before trying to create a new one.
