How do I reinstall Java on Mac OSX Leopard? Without a DVD. I don't have any Mac disk whatsoever.

I tried following the directions on http://hints.macworld.com/article.php?story=2009051215025819 but all I ended up doing was deleting a bunch of items before realizing that it was probably a waste of time and I should just go ask people myself.

I have Mac OSX Leopard Version 10.5.7

The reason that I wanted to reinstall Java was because it simply was not working when I used it on Firefox or Google Chrome, but it worked on Safari until after I tried that link.

Why have you not updated your OS to MacOS X 10.5.8? It is likely that there are many additional updates--security and otherwise--that you don't have. Perhaps your issue has already been fixed in one of the updates that you never applied.
