I just did a fresh install of Leopard. the name of the computer and all passwords are the same, but it was an erase/install. I have an external Time Machine drive that I had been using on my previous install. Can I use it for my new system without losing the backups that are on there? Will it just continue as it used to be or will it make a new subfolder, or what?

any ideas?

mainly I'm curious if I use a drive that had previously been a TM drive, if I use it with a fresh install will it erase my old backups or just start a new folder for the new system?
