Reinstall macOS on Mac Pro 5.1 with RX580

Hi there,
I am planning to replace my Mac Pro 5.1 with the new Mac Mini M1 and sell the Mac Pro.

I am wondering if there's a simple way to reinstall macOS on my Mac Pro, which has the RX580 installed.

I'm pretty sure it's not flashed, but I do get the Apple logo before the login window appears, if that helps.


Should I install Mojave on a USB stick and boot from it? Or is there a different way?

I’d use the open core bootloader. It’s a bit more involved setting it up though. The guide is around here somewhere
