My boss' daughter has an iPod Touch. His iMac has had some major issues with its Verizon Wireless card, and we can't fix the settings that are screwed up. Our only solution is to reformat the hard drive and reinstall the operating system.

We plan to back up the iTunes library. If we do that, and then place the library back where it is, will the iPod recognize the computer as the same computer it's been syncing with all along, and sync just fine? Or will it want to erase the iPod and reinstall all of the applications/music/etc?

My boss is very concerned about having to reinstall everything on the iPod.

Please help, thanks.
