How, my tabs are messed up (it highlights like five, saying I'm in five tabs at once?) and I don't see how I reinstall it? Apple's site says I need 10.5.8 or higher, I have 10.6.1. >_<

have pretty same problem

any solutions? i tried to uninstall safari and install it again from snow leopard cd, but same crapy ****...

Try trashing ~/Library/Safari

Although first go to File > Export Bookmarks so you can import them again later.

more things to try:

1) Get new Safari plist file: com.apple.Safari.plist
You'll find it in the Library folder that is in your Home folder, under Preferences (another folder)
Drag the file to your Desktop, then go into Safari
Safari will create a fresh plist file
No joy? No harm done.
More headaches? Put that file back, overwriting the new one.

2) Log in under a different User Account
If that solves it, Trash your other Account
