I have tried to reinstalled in Recovery but mavericks not available in app store. Any other way to reinstall? or can i use a trumb drive to boot install?
please help. thank you

If you have the Mavericks installer on a thumb drive then no problem. Use that to re-install it.

What do you mean - the dmg file?
Did you get this from within the Installer
I.e. Contents/Sharedsupport ?

but how to do that? i only have the dmg file not the install.esd.

If you purchased and downloaded that file from the App Store and then saved a copy of that .dmg file, then you have all you need to create the USB installer.

Is the .dmg file a little more than 5Gb in size? If so, you have what you are looking for to make the USB installer.

And if you got it from apple it would be a .app file not a .dmg file.
