Reinstalled Mac OS X 10.4, now macbook won't turn on...

I had a "broken pipe" error message every time I tried to install something off the internet, and if you have a broken pipe, nothing will mount. So I searched for a fix for that, and the only way to fix it was to have some program that I didn't have, and it would have had to be mounted. So I backed everything up and reinstalled the operating system. I have reinstalled the OS before with no trouble, and it's worked great. This time it goes through both of the install disks, and spits out the last disk (2) and then the screen is just blue. It blinks blue, and stays blue. That's all it does. I've tried this a few times today and it's the same thing. Does anyone know what can help?
 
I'm not sure if it's the actual disc, it seems to finish and then you think it's going to turn on and it doesn't. Anything else?
