I've had an odd font problem - I downloaded some new (free) fonts, which worked fine for a time, and then suddenly they weren't available in the font menu for apps (I use Word, Pages, Text Edit, Photoshop and Indesign).

I use Font Book for font management, and tried resolving duplicates, but had no luck. I removed the new fonts, reinstalled, still no luck.

Now it seems I've lost some core fonts like Arial. It still appears in Font Book and in the font menu of apps, but it comes out as an odd Arial Bold style which I can't change.

Is there an easy way of restoring all of my fonts to their previous install? I use Time Machine, and I also have my Snow Leopard and MS Office installers at hand.
