Reinstalling gave password on external disk

So I reinstalled my mac pro late 2013 with Catalina and after my external drive ask for a password? I never sat any password on it, so could be ownership? username is different from before

Could be disk permissions. You can Get Info on the drive and check the "Ignore permissions on this volume" option, that would be the fastest way. Let me know how it goes.
