imac late 2012, fusion drive

how can i 'clean install' mavericks using only recovery partition?

and will it brake bootcamp?

or should i make a bootable usb and do it that way?

what about fusion drive? do i need to set it up again somehow?

thank you very much!

thank you but the question was can i reinstall/clean install mavericks using recovery partition (cmd+r) by formatting macintosh hd and installing mavericks on it.

would that be a clean install? is there any whatsoever reason to use the usb method, formatting entire fusion drive including bootcamp?

if i only format macintosh hd partition, will it mess up my bootcamp partition?

basically, im asking can i clean install mavericks without touching my bootcamp partition and why that may or may not be a good idea? should i use the usb method?

thank you very much!

I reinstalled Mavericks last night and i used a bootable USB stick. I booted with the stick then used disk utility to erase only the mac partition and then reinstalled the OS. This doesn't seem to have effected my bootcamp partition.

PS This was a on a HDD if this makes any difference.
