Reinstalling Pwned 2.1 fw 2G?

I would like to reinstall my Pwned 2.1 firmware (which I'm very happy with just I did a mistake on it and want to start fresh). But iTunes doesn't let me restore with custom firmware. When I try to reinstall with PwnageTool iTunes 8 gives me an error 1600. I'm pretty much sure everybody who 2.1 PwnageTool their iphone 2G get the same error when they try to do restore again.
Any ideas
