Reinstalling

Hello I got this mac a while ago. I may have to reinstall I got the copied CD from my tech will this work? or do I need to use the original if so were can i get this? 😀

All I want to know is, what is written on that CD or DVD.

Your iMac came with 10.4.2 or later (Tiger), and you must have used a Retail version of 10.5 Leopard to install your current OS, or the person you got it from.
