First, thanks in advance for the assistance.
This morning I was able to load up XP SP2 from a Dell 8400 OEM disc onto a White Mac Book (late 2006) with no problem (okay some problems, but those were user errors) using BootCamp 2.0 on Mac OS 10.5.
I also have a MB Pro 15" (early 2008) using the same Mac OS 10.5 with the same BC 2.0 in the Utilities folder.
I am able to set up a 32G partition using bootcamp, but then I have to install Windows XP.
Using the same XP OEM disc, when I get to the Start Installation phase, I insert the XP OEM disk and then the MB Pro does not boot up, and simply spits up my XP disc with a blank grey screen, leaving me to start up the MB Pro again with the Option key held down and boot in OS 10.5.
Can anybody think of a reason why the same OS would reject the same XP OEM disc on a different machine?
Thanks, been at this for about 10 hrs now.
