I've been looking for an answer on this and cannot find it. There are several issues I have. First, I'm a complete newbie in applescript. Second, is there any way to run applescripts from a server? Can I have my applescript on a folder on the server and attach this action script to a folder and have it work? It doesn't seem to because it doesn't have a relative path.
I'm using automator and I'm making an app with it. So the applescript is calling the app but it has an absolute path on it.
Any help will be appreciated. If I need to clarify further, I can. These files will be used by multiple users on a server. I have a script that automatically renames the items as they're dropped and it works but locally only. How can I make this work on the server?
I have searched and googled til I'm crosseyed....
