[Release] Custom Lock Screen Wallpaper "Midnight"

I've come up with a great idea to make the front of the iPhone look really clean when you look at the lock screen.

I was thinking the other day. The front of the iPhone is all black right? The springboard is black right? Why not make the lock screen black as well? I think it looks very cool because you spend only a fraction of a second on the lockscreen (and most of the time I'm not even looking at it). Also, in a dark room, you don't really want a really bright screen when you turn your iPhone on. I've come up with the solution. Look below:

Feel free to use it. It's easy on your eyes in the dark and it makes for an all black iPhone.

I actually did this exact thing when I was using IM+. I couldn't stand any of the wallpapers they provided so I just covered the camera lens with my hand so just a little bit of light was coming in (gave it a red tint in the upper corner) and snapped a photo.

I actually enjoy having a picture on my lockscreen though. To each his own.
 
You know... until a few days ago. I never thought of having a pure black lock screen. I thought I'd help people out by putting the idea in their heads and then I went further and provided a screenshot and the wallpaper being used.

Try it out. It looks great in the dark when you want to unlock your phone but you don't wanna be blinded.

Thank you very much. It's not really a creation as much as it's just a cool idea. I was thinking of just having an Apple logo there with a black background but I've already got an Apple logo on the back and I hate having Apple pictures on my Apple stuff. You know? It's like too much branding.

i know who wants crapple logos on there products (I know i dont) i think i might go with your idea and put a microsoft logo (no sarcasm go microsoft)

but as its said before to each his own

Idea was the word I was looking for lol. Yeah, I still haven't used the 2 Apple stickers I got with the iPhone.

Looks great in the dark btw :)

Yeah. I didn't mean that I don't like the Apple logo on my electronics... I just meant that there's already an Apple logo on the back... There's no need to show it off even more by putting a logo as my wallpaper too. That's like putting a photo of a Mac Pro on my Mac Pro desktop picture. I just think that's dumb.

To each his own though. Either you like the pure black or you don't.

I always have trouble finding wallpapers for my iPhone because they're usually too bright. That's why I came up with this idea. I tried it and I liked it.

(Now... if only there was a way of getting rid of those pesky little white dots toward the bottom of each app page.)
 
Hey, just because you want a dark screen that doesn't mean we can't have fun with it!

Why not replace icons with black and white squares and get rid of the dock background too? Why not?

Actually, it's more than just "a fraction of a second". You'd be surprised how many times I have to look at it (and gladly at that).

There's a reason why auto-brightness is an option.

Eh, to each their own. I have a picture of my cat's fur on mine... was interesting to see my girlfriend's reaction when I told her I scanned the cat.
