Release Date?

I'm thinking about buying OS X 10.8.5 because it's an upgrade from 10.6.8 that I have. When is Mavericks coming out/ Should i wait? Thank you!

I would say wait ~1month, Mavericks will be available in late October (or in November).

Personally, I would upgrade to Mountain Lion and then again when Mavericks came out.

I went from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion and enjoyed the change, and now I am working with Mavericks DP8 and so far so good..

Pretty good. The up to date program is usually for Macs bought around a month and a half, two months before release.

Although with no word on pricing or an up to date program yet, and a launch not too far away, I wouldn't be surprised if OS X is going free.
