Hi All,

My F9 and F10 keys on my new MBP are hardwired to be the keyboard backlight increase/decrease keys. Two of my Exposé commands are also specifically mapped to F9 & F10, however the backlight command seems to have precidence, so I have to press function-F9 (or F10) to Exposé, even though they are set to plain F9/F10.

Is there any way I can make the Exposé commands dominant, and have the keyboard backlight be Function-F9/F10? Thanks.

Yes you can! There's a setting in System Preferences somewhere, probably in Keyboard and Mouse, called "Use function keys for hardware options" or something similar. If it's checked (which it should be), uncheck it.
