Off topic, but since there are a few Logic gurus posting here, I thought I might chance my arm. I have an old (10 years old almost) PPC7300 set-up running Mac OS 8 (or thereabouts). I have been out of the Midi/Audio game for a number of years but wish to re-equip for the modern age! I'm thinking of getting Logic Pro - will probably wait a while until the new version is at least announced before parting with my chase though.
Anyone know of a conversion tool/process which will help me get my Vision (midi only) tracks into Logic. My current process, since getting OMS to work under Mac OS Classic" on OSX was a pain, is to run the windows version of Vision on a virtual PC. I then edit the files with File buddy, open using Windows version of vision to export individual track as general midi, then import into Garageband. Take a long time.
I'd be eternally grateful for a more graceful solution if anyone knows of one.
sorry to digress.
/Info.
PS if you know of a more appropriate form to post this kind of question feel free to point me in that direction ;-)
[Mod note: Most times it's better to make new threads than going off topic in others...
