Well now people are trying to copy it. I usually don’t start humorous or ‘fluff’ threads, but this is just too wild. It’s a ‘lens protector’ for the X, XS, XR that makes your camera look like the 11/11 Pro.

This isn't really something to get upset over, because this has happened in the past and will continue to happen. Is it petty to make your older iPhone look like the new one just to flex / show off? Yes. But that won't stop people from coming up with different ways to achieve that new phone look.

As much as I complained that the 11 Pro camera design was fugly, I still purchased an 11 Pro. I have certainly gotten used to the design to say the least. I do like that the camera is at least a little bit more flush (especially since I don't use it with a case).

We ain't seen nuthin yet. The multi lens camera back concept is just gaining steam. Future iPhones will have even more lenses

Cool.

Now I can flex my iPhone at Starbucks again without spending money on a brand new iPhone 11 Pro.

I hope it stays in place though. My worst nightmare would be if the fake camera falls off my phone while I am flexing in Starbucks. The horror.

Actually, nobody’s ‘flexing’ smart phones at Starbucks, try along the lines of MacBook Pros. Anyone and everyone can buy a iPhone 11 Pro via financing, even if they can’t afford it. So ‘flexing’ really doesn’t mean anything in that regard.

The 11 pro is not a beautiful phone by any means. In my opinion, you can't beat the iPhone 4, that was industrial design at its best! Still, the 11 pros are way nicer than the X and Xs. Those were just awful.

I disagree. I love the Xs design and the more subtle back. My own Xs max looks gorgeous in silver. Not remotely garish

I also had a silver X. I tought it looked nice, but it was mainly because I never actually looked at the thing. The glass color was neither here nor there and that camera bump looked like it was glued on top of it, an afterthought.

Only as I got the 11 pro I noticed there was something pleasant about it. So I went looking at some pictures of the X and Xs and noticed the camera bump plainly ruined an otherwise totally ok design.

‘That’s cool. I respect your opinion. I do love the appearance of my max. Funnily enough i didn‘t like the original gold model I had initially. When I returned for the silver/white, i was sold. I love the way the camera bump’s stainless trim compliments the stainless frame which in turn compliments the silvery white back panel perfectly. I normally wouldn’t be noticing such details but I find the attention to detail on the max really eye catching, face down.

I agree that Steve Jobbs would probably not have approved. But I like it. I have a phone which I use more as a camera and it looks more like a camera, that takes pretty good shots. Very satisfied. Saves me the hassle of lugging masses of DSLR gear around. Though if I were a pro I would still drag it around.

I wasn’t a fan at first but the square camera module is growing on me for sure. I don’t mind it now. In fact I kind of like it.
You know how you watch some horror movies, and at the start youre all scared and **** your pants when the "monster" first appears, because it is so ugly and horrific? But then, as the movie progresses, you get used to it and are not horrifed by it so much anymore? it's the same with iPhone 11(pro). It's still ugly and horrific, but you just got used to it being ugly and horrific. Human nature.
