Reminders and Notification Center

I have a question about Reminders appearing in Notification Center. I noticed that if I don't set a "Remind me" alert about a reminder it won't appear in the Notification Center. Is there a way reminders to appear in NC even without a reminder alert. Sort of like short notes you can keep track of in Notification Center.
