Hi all,
When I search my Reminders app, the search results contain more items than I bargained for. An example (dutch):
I wish to find reminders containing the word "referentie". When I start typing "refe" my search results contain reminders about "research", reminders about "relevant", reminders about "regels" and reminders about "reflectors".
So the app includes in the search results reminders that contain words that are similar to my search query. I don't want that to happen.
Typing the query between brackets or single or double quotes renders no results at all, so that is not the solution.
Yes, when I query for the entire word "referentie" the search function consolidates the results and I only get reminders containing that exact word. However, short words such as "star" are complete words and also render all kinds of results that are not exactly "star", i.e. "standaard", "sturen", "strategie".
This is on macOS Sequoia and iOS17 and iOS18. Haven't tried other OS's.
Searching other macOS apps, such as calendar, require exact spelling of my search query, which is how I like it.
I haven't found any way to control this behaviour in Settings.
Any help, opinions greatly appreciated.
Pete
