I use reminders across my devices (iPhone, iPad, Retina MBP). If a reminder pops up on my rMBP and I manually update the reminder time, it will update across my devices but the notification continues to show on my iPhone locked screen.

For example, I have a reminder "Buy milk" set for 10am today. The reminder pops up while I'm working on my mac. I don't snooze it because I want to delay it for a custom amount of time - 3 hours. So I open the reminder, set it to be due at 1pm and close the reminders app. On my iPhone, I click the home button to display my locked screen and there's my reminder to buy milk. It shows the new due time of 1pm, but the reminder should not be displayed since it is not yet due. Even if I open the reminders app to 'refresh' it, that reminder still appears on my locked screen with a due time of 1pm. The only option to make it disappear is to select one of the options - cross it out, snooze it, mark it completed.

How can I get reminders to disappear from my locked screen on my iPhone after I've updated (i.e., delayed) the due date/time from another device?

Thanks for any thoughts or help.
