Reminders 'clear all' problem

Mac osx 11.4 Big sur
Mac pro 7,1

When i turn my mac on in the morning, i usually have about 5 or 6 reminder notifications pop up, so i click the 'clear all' button at the top one and they all go - except that they then return straight away.

say i have 6 notifications, i click clear all, then they return as 5 notifications, click clear all again and they return as 4 notifications, and so on....

I use reminders on my mac pro, iphone 12 and ipad

Any ideas how to fix this annoying problem?
