My reminders updated fine on iPhone and iPad. But in my iMac it’s not showing my reminders. I can create new ones and they’ll sync but the old list I had is not there. Yet it’s in iCloud and syncing in my mobile devices.
apple customer support was no help.

Have you installed iOS/padOS 13.1 recently?

If so, that is probably the reason, as the reminders were ‘upgraded’ (as per the warning when you first opened the Reminders app) and will only work on 13.1 and Catalina (which is not available yet).

Yes I did. I updated all devices. So if I make a new list and just copy over my items it should work?
I know reminders is supposed to have some enhancements. I didn’t notice anything. I’ll have to play around with it later.

I believe I did. I let it upgrade everything. Is there a way to run the update on reminders again by itself?

I made the same mistake (upgrading on iPhone) so they no longer work on my Mac. Workaround is to use Reminders in iCloud web via Safari.

Spoke drives me nuts with the upgrades and things not working. Normally I don’t upgrade early. Argh!

Oh, so when Catalina comes out all should be good. Hopefully won't be too long now.

Everything I'm reading has convinced me to stay with OS X 10.14 and iOS 12.

I installed 10.14 after .6 finally came out, and have repeatedly wished I hadn't. Been this >.< close to wiping and reinstalling 10.13 for a while now. Mojave is just annoying. I don't install the current macOS until the last version comes out any more.

As far as iOS 13.x, there's nothing there at all that *matters*, although now that the security content of it is finally available, you have to make a hard decision about whether you want to install it, as at least one of the bugs it patches is important.

I've thought about going back to 10.13 but haven't pulled the trigger yet. There is nothing in 10.15 that is compelling, and since it would break my MS Office 2011 it's a no-go. As far as iOS, if it has a large "bug" then hopefully Apple will patch it rather than leaving it open unless one "upgrades" to iOS 13.

They're already demonstrated they won't do that, with the release today of 13.1.1.

So, I wanted to start a new thread, but decided to take a look at old threads first, to see if someone shared this already.

Yes, it's true. Another one in the sea of Apple's recent screw ups.

Please, Apple, please, get your **** together already! Stop doing this, we are not used to this on your platform!

I am furious with Apple right now.
So, Mojave’s not good enough to run an updated version of Reminders?

Absolutely ridiculous.
This is not a technical limitation. Just do the right thing and port the new app to Mojave.

Apple told you up front that if you upgraded the Reminders db, items would not sync with clients that had not been upgraded. You did it anyway. Who's fault is that, exactly?

The unfortunate part in this is not that Apple created something requiring an upgraded schema, but that they don't provide any way to back that data up beforehand and possibly revert it (on the iCloud side). Like everything else in iCloud, it's all opaque.

Easy solution... don't use iCloud. Don't use it for Calendars, don't use it for Contacts, don't use it for Reminders. You can't back any of it up, you can't easily get it out when you want it out.
