I just installed vpn to my work place's computer which is windows. All VPN and connectivity are ready and working. My question is what is the equivalent of "\\" to remote access windows file on the network like you do in windows, for instance, \\10.1.2.3.5\c$\program files...... how do I do this on mac so that I can access the files from my work place's computer on mac?

prefix your path with smb:

That should do it...

Could you please elaborate on this?

For the RDC, yes, I installed that but I want to access the files from the remote session on mac book so I don't have to go to the RDC session every time trying to copy and paste files.

It should look something like this:

smb:\\10.1.2.3.5\c$\program files

You do this under Location-> connect to server I believe (I am not at my mac right now to verify the location of that last part)
