Hi,

I have a Drobo FS connected to my Time Capsule router and a cable modem connection. I am trying to find a way to access the files on my Drobo remotely. I've done a tremendous amount of Google searching and I cannot figure this out (I'm moderately tech savvy).

What's important is that I be able to have access straight into the Drobo itself, without having to go through my home Mac. I've read that this is possible via ftp (Drobo has an app called Pure-FTPd, although I cannot figure out how to work it) and others say that creating a VPN is the way to go, but I don't know how to do either of these.

Would someone be able to offer a bit of guidance on this? I'd really appreciate any help you could offer.

Thanks in advance,

CB

Did you ever get a reply to this or find out how it's done. Just bought an FS myself and looking to connect remotely while traveling etc

Hi there,

I just bought my Drobo FS and looked intensively for an answer on this question. Can somebody help on this matter?
