I have a keyboardless mini, which I use for hand braking and as an iTunes server. I've been trying to get iTunes to sync my Exchange calendar (which works on fine on my Air), but for some reason it doesn't work. Fine, I thought, restart it, that fixes 97% of all computer problems. So, using Screen Sharing, I tell my mini to restart. Screen Sharing disconnects, and when it won't reconnect ten minutes later, I wonder what happened. I connect my TV to my mini, and find that handbrake has failed to quit and is not responding, so the restart failed. However, it got far enough along to stop Screen Sharing, and LogMeIn, and Splashtop from working. Will pulling the plug cause any serious damage? What else can I do, short of buying a mouse? How can I stop this happening in future?
