iPod touch Remote app and Ipod Touch Question

Hello all,

I have an Apple TV 2nd generation streaming from my iMac which hosts the iTunes application. This is used for music only, but my wife has asked if we can somehow get rid of the monitor we use to control the Apple TV. So if I were to purchase an iPod Touch and install the remote app, would I be correct in thinking that I could control the music from the ipod Touch (i.e. control the iTunes on the iMac) and be able to remove the monitor from the room?

Yes, that will work nicely. You'll need the monitor to get it set up, but after that your should be good to go.

Hi,

so have purchased the ipod touch 8gb model yesterday, and it works very well indeed. So now I have been able to take the screen away from the front room.

I see there is a device that can bridge the ipod touch to multiple IR devices (TV, Blu ray player etc) so that is the next investigation, see how many remotes I can retire!

I just bought a new TV and plan to do the same . . . when I get around to it.
