Hello,

I need to remote control my 3d modeling app from my iPad, specifically rhino. For this, I need a conventional mouse with right click, and a scroll wheel (touch works but is too .... touchy)

Previously I have been using screens connect, but it seems I can't get the right click or middle click to work reliably. What am I missing? Is there another app which does this well?

I need to access my Mac from outside of my local network...

Thanks for any help!
Richard

Hi,

thank you for the jump desktop recommendation. I am trying to try it...

I setup jump desktop on my desktop Mac ($30). however when I try to get it on my phone, it seems to ask for another $15. Its that right?

Shouldn't the iOS client be free?

Thanks,
Richard

No, you pay for the client software. The server / host (Jump Desktop Connect) software is free to download to your machine.

Jump Desktop Connect is free and you can download that from https://jumpdesktop.com/connect/ for your Mac.

For your iPad, go to the App Store and look for Jump Desktop (RDP, VNC, Fluid) which should be a $15 purchase.

Setup and run the Mac app, then configure the iPad app to connect to your Mac and you should be good to go. I use it with my iPad Pro to connect to my Mac Studio and it works good that way.
