Free or paid, doesn't matter throw em at me! I need to leave in a bit to do a long install at a buds house and would like to resume my work remotely.

I would be using a win7 laptop to login remotely.
Connecting to osx 10.5.6 at home.

Quickest and most painless would be Teamviewer. Just run it on your mac before you leave and write down the ID number. Go your bud's house and use your PC to connect to that ID number

nice! thanks for the quick reply. saved me some time. +rep i f I can
[edit: hmm, no rep here? /shrug]

I use gotomypc, not free but its the fastest one I've used.

I've played with logmein, vnc, and gotomypc and I prefer this one over all of the others.

Are there any program for windows that use the mac standard? I don't want my connections going over third party servers....

+1 for TeamViewer. I use it for remote support when my friends have questions/problems they want me to fix.

Logmein is fine. GotomyPC is better but not with the price tag
