Hello,
I've got an old mac laptop running as a media server which provides media to my local network and over the internet too.
The problem i'm having Is i used windows for this previously until that computer died. I had all software running fine including windows Remote Desktop.
Now, i know that mac has built in screen sharing but I tried 3 softwares; built in screen sharing, Logmein and Team Viewer and whenever i close the lid, the laptop does not sleep but the remote software stops working. This also happens with built in screen sharing like after 5-10 mins the built in will not expect connections whereas the other 2 stop instantly.
Ive installed InsomniaX to try and stop it sleeping which works but does not help my remote desktop. So does anyone know what I can do? I still don't believe this actually does not work. The old windows was a laptop too and it would accept connections while the screen was closed for a good month after i didn't touch it.
Thanks in advance,
Kris
