I have a PC connected to a 5.1 channel 1000W Speaker system, and I know there are options for remote speakers in iTunes, is there a way to set it up so I can select songs on my MacBook's iTunes, and have the sound come through the PC's Speaker System, even a third party programme or whatever?

iTune's remote Speaker select is for using AirPorts (and maybe Apple TV). If you have your HT audio system connected through S/PDIF (aka (optical) Digital Out) then you need to do the selection in System Preferences/Sound/Output.
