Whoops, I passed over the Home Edition part

I've been searching, and I can't seem to find a solution, other than upgrade them to XP Pro...

I'll continue to search, or maybe someone else will come along with an answer.

you can use VNC if you need remote control of the PC, or if you are looking into sharing files there are many other solutions, within the operating systems or using microsoft Foldershare. Have a look around with google and searching within this forum, you'll realize this is a recurring question.

I've been using Remote Desktop Sharing applications for many years. The one I've been using recently with great success is:
http://www.teamviewer.com/index.aspx

It works great with both Mac and PC, no firewall issues, chat, file sharing, very secure, and no cumbersome installation issues. I routinely connect to Windows PCs from my MBP to provide tech support and training. Plus, for single use mode, it's free!
