Hallo. My Ipad is connected to my stereo.
I'm struggling to stream my music from my MacBook to that Ipad, or at least to remotely skip the track that is played on the Ipad.
After a lot of googling, I found a lot of forums or blogs where they say there are dozens of ways to do, but still no luck.
My goal is to leave the ipad away and change track from the MacBook, possibly with some freeware sw.
So far here's where I am stuck:
*Using Apple "home sharing" or "Itunes remote" does not work, it allows me to stream the Ipod library to the Mac, not viceversa.
*Using VLC does not work, or at least I can't find how to enable VLC HTTP control on the Ipad.
*Using direct streaming apps like AirFoil works very poorly, because there is little or no buffering, so everytime my Home wifi gets busy with some massive traffic, the music starts to have issues (and, it's a paid app).
*Installing Spotify on both the Ipad and the MacBook works ok, but that's not my mp3 library (and there are a lot of ads...)
*Buying a bT dongle would do, but I prefer to use my Ipad (there is a lot of mp3s on that).
Any help is very appreciated.
