At work, I use a Brother laser printer for printing up customer receipts and such, and it takes a bit of time to warm up. It's not too bad, but I'm often standing next to it waiting for the document to print for a little while, and it's somewhat annoying. Is there a way I can write a little script or something that will prompt the printer to wake up when I run it? That way it can be warmed up and ready to go by the time I print the receipt, if I launch that script before I start typing up the receipt. Any help would be appreciated!

I'd rather not do so, because then I have a blank page sitting in the printer that I have to move back to the tray, and it's a bit cumbersome. The goal of this is to simplify my life, not add another complication.
