Hello,
I'm trying to remove a partition i erased, and recover the space to my Macintosh HD. I follow the directions on the screen, but it doesn't seem to work any tips?

If you have free space on the disk, you should be able to click on the Macintosh HD partition, and you should see the lines in the right corner like are seen on windows, and you should be able to drag it down to cover the free space, then hit apply. That doesn't happen for you?

I tried to put in my Mac OS X Install DVD and restarted. Then I only saw the normal options as if I wanted to reformat the whole machine. Can you please give me more specific directions.

Once everything gets going it will want to take you through the install process. DON'T. Instead go up to Utilities (I think) and scroll down to Disk Utility. Then it will start up the disk utility, just like in Leopard. Then rid yourself of that blank space.
