Remove alternating list view row colors in snow leopard?

There used to be a way in 10.5 via some hidden preference to remove the alternating row colors in list view. I have a feeling that this hidden feature been eliminated... can anyone confirm?

bump as I have not been able to find an answer and this still bothers me. Maybe there is a way to fix the color with ThemePark? The color changes depending on whether Aqua or Graphite is selected in the appearance prefs so there must be somewhere where this setting can be changed.
