remove an icon from menu bar

hi there im very new to mac.iv just purchased a mac book pro and loving it.
however i installed the hands off app but decided i did not want it so i deleted it by moving it to the trash can.but the app has left an icon on the top menu bar and i cant figure out how to remove it.

Hi,

you need to properly uninstall the application.

1. reinstall Hands off
2. uninstall : Hands off / Preferences / Advanced / Uninstall
