Remove dots from email password

I have a bit of a problem.

I can not for the life of me remember my Gmail password to log in.

Now I have the password saved on my iPhone under settings although it is covered with dots!

Does anyone know a way to remove the dots?

I know there was a glitch in 2.0 which allowed you to do this but not anymore since I am running 4.2.

Any ideas?

Just login to gmail.com and request your password.

I've tried that already, but Google say they can't verify it's me!
