Remove DVD-player, add HDD?

It is possible to take out the DVD-player in my MBP 2010 and put in a HDD instead? I absolutely never use it and I would love to have some extra space since I got only a 180GB SSD.

It is the 13,3" model by the way.

Additional question, can I upgrade from 4GB to 8GB RAM? I saw the post about upgrading the 2008 due to a EFI BIOS update, is there something similar for early '10?

You can upgrade to 8GB without problems:

Not with 2010 MBPs, as even my 2009 MBP can take 8GB and I currently have 6GB in it.

I think I have the late '09 because I bought it two months before they updated it in April 2010 if I remember correctly. Lovely to hear though that I can upgrade without any issues.
