I have a new 24" LED ACD, and while I love it, I hate it! I can't stand the glossy screen on it, as this is in my office at work, and the only way to arrange it is with a window at my back.

All I see is reflections all day, and it now gives me a headache.

So, the options I see are:

1) Revert back to my older 20" ACD
2) Try and remove the glass from the new monitor and run it without the glass and see if that helps
3) Try and put on an anti-glare screen on it and pray that it works.

Anyone else have an experience or thought on this and wish to share?

revert back!!

taking off the glass is just too plain ugly.. i have a matte screen and using that compared to the gsb is heaven.

I think I would consider putting an anti-glare film on it before I took the glass off.

There are a few companies that make these.

Yeah, but do they work? Last thing I want to do is permanently change the glass and not have it work.

I'm convinced using my MacBook under fluorescent lighting is the cause of my migraines recently. :(

I sold my iMac for the exact same reason. Bay window behind me and I couldn't see a thing at certain times of the day.

Bought an HP LP2475W and hooked it up to my Pre-Unibody MBP. No reflections at all :).

Florescents are the devil, but my biggest cause of migraines has been afternoon sun light bouncing off glistening snow... of course it was most likely to occur after sitting under florescents all day.
