I had a 3G iPhone. I killed it on Friday. I'll be getting a new 4G today, but want to know if it's possible to remove the hard drive out of my 3G and use an enclosure or something to get my data off? Maybe make a backup and put that on my new phone? I don't really care if the 3G is completely unusable after the hard drive is removed...just want to get my info off it and hopefully onto my new phone.

If your 3G is completely unusable, I,m afraid you are out of luck. What about your backup in iTunes?
When you connect your new phone to iTunes, it will give you a choice to "set up as new" or set up using the backup from the 3G.
