Remove icon gloss?

I have tried several tweaks from cydia that claim to remove the icon gloss but none seem to work. I was hoping someone here could lend a hand and help me out.
 
You will have to clear your icon cache. Also keep in mind some icons are originally glossed to begin with such as native icons.
