After clearing the image cache for iMessages I still have hundreds of "ghost files" that don't exist but can't be cleared.
Not that it has any impact on performance (or at least, I don't think so), but it just feels kind of "messy" and also throws the scrollbar off with regards to where the actual "bottom" of the list is.
Edit: cleared them by purging every preference file associated with iMessage (using App Cleaner). This also reset conversations and everything, but that's not really so important. I'm still not sure which exact file is the cause.
