So I've uploaded 30GB or so of videos to iCloud Drive, in the iMovie folder so I can download and edit on the go with iMovie on iOS. That part works beautifully.
However, the files still seem to be saved on my hard drive, taking up a chunk of space on my 128GB MacBook Air.
Has anyone running PB5 or GM found a way to delete them from the hard drive, but not iCloud Drive? Every time I try to delete them it tells me they'll also get deleted from iCloud, which is not what I want.
Ideas?
EDIT: After playing around with it I've discovered a few things:
In order to delete the local files, but not the cloud files, you have to sign out of iCloud on the Mac, then sign back in again. After a few minutes all the iCloud Drive files and folders will show up again in the iCloud Drive folder in Finder, but with a little message underneath them saying "not downloaded". All good I thought, until it started downloading every file stored in iCloud Drive automatically, and I'm right back at square one.
I would kill for a selective sync option.
