Let's see if anybody can answer this... because Google sure can't (unless there's a query I haven't tried?).

I know in Keyboard Prefs you can add keyboard shortcuts. But can you REMOVE standard keyboard shortcuts?

Specifically, I want to get rid of cmd+m (minimize) and cmd+p (print).

You can't remove them but you can disable them by unchecking them.

Why would you want to remove them? If you don't want to use them, just don't press those key combinations. :confused:

There are no entries for "unchecking" for the commands I listed.

Sometimes they get accidentally pressed. I reach for cmd+[ (for "Back" in Firefox) and I hit P sometimes instead. This stalls the app for a while, because the print dialog takes some time to launch the first time.

Try adding those shortcuts for Firefox:

@ggjstudios

I appreciate the pictures and your effort but I already knew how to do that... and it doesn't work... and even if it did work, it wasn't my original question.

The point is, if you re-map the Cmd-P to duplicate the Cmd-[ function, you've accomplished what you wanted: to prevent accidental launching of the Print command.
