Remove Linux partition

Hi,

just a short question. I set up a Linux partition on my Mac and now I want to remove it and install Windows on that partition instead.

Bootcamp can't do anything right now since it is not a single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) drive.

Any recommendations on how to do this (without making errors and accidentally removing my Mac partition)?

I'm not at my Mac right now but you should be able to do this through disk utility.

Ok. Should I choose "Erase" or "Restore"?

Don't use erase or restore. Press the partition tab, select your linux partition and delete it. After that you should be able to expand your mac partition in the lower left corner.

If you can't erase you linux partitions then you will need to start up from any linux live cd and remove your linux partitions from there. Boot up in mac and expand the mac partition.

How to avoid deleting mac partition:
1) Don't use erase tool.
2) Be carefull when using partition manager from linux cd.
3) don't edit/resize the mac partition from any other disk tool than the mac utility
4) don't remove the mac partition.


Edit: afterwards just install windows as usual through the boot camp tools.
