Remove Mac from Windows Domain

I currently authenticate against a Windows AD server but I am now thinking of removing the Mac from the Windows domain.

I know how to do it but the question is... Will I lose all my files and settings because my login was tied to a Windows domain? IE will it give me a new home directory (which is what Windows does)?

Ok. Now is this your personal mac or is it a company Mac?

If this is a personal Mac go into System Preferences->Network pane, and disconnect from the Domain.
